1. In chemistry, we learnt that when enough heat is applied to an element, it changes from the solid to the liquid and lastly to the gaseous state. So why is it that eggs harden when you cook them? Like hard-boiled eggs? Is it because eggs are not elements? But water(compound) turns into water vapour when heat... Anyone knows why?
2. The straws we drink from are different. Not just the colour, design, size but also the form. Compare a McDonalds straw and the straw we get from the smoothie shop behind. One had flat end while the other has a point end. Why the difference? Is it because the McDonalds cap has slits and the other does not? So if the straw is pointed, there is more pressure exerted on the cap with no slits when we try to poke it, so as to get an easier access to our smoothie?
3. Did you realise that the M&M's packaing changed, just that tiny bit? It is glossier now, they added a small info at the bottom left corner informing you aboutt the calories and the milk chocolate words are no longer in white. They are a bit yellowish-green. Beneath it, another new addtion, Made with Real Milk Chocolate. Did you notice?
4. Ms Nicole Teo's english is not fantastic, but she is a English teacher. She does not sound perfect when speaking english but she is the best english teacher I have ever met my whole life. And i really mean it.
Little discoveries like that made life more interesting for me. It only happens when I start paying attention to the surroundings. Sometimes, it doesn't feel too bad to slow down the pace of life and appreciate the small little surprises:)
